- MOOSE: Mediterranean Ocean Observing System on Environment (INSU project)
- EuroSITES (FP7, 2008-2011): Collaborative project for an integrated European network of 9 deep-ocean (>1000m) observatories
- ESONET NoE: European Seas Observatory Network - Network of Excellence
- OceanSITES: a worldwide system of long-term, deepwater reference stations measuring dozens of variables and monitoring the full depth of the ocean from air-sea interactions down to 5,000 meters.
